AONA Adopt-A-Street/Meet Your Neighbor at the Park

Join AONA for our quarterly Adopt-A-Street cleanup of 48th Street.

This is a great opportunity to get out, meet some neighbors, and serve your community. We will meet on the west side of Osborn and 48th Street. Teams will go north and south along 48th Street, down one side and up the other, from Thomas to Indian School. It's usually very light work.

AONA will provide some gloves, trash bags, trash picker. If you would like to volunteer, please email us at aonainfo@gmail.com so we know to expect you.

A table will be set up in the shade with coffee and donuts where volunteers and neighbors can come together and find out what’s going on in the neighborhood.

Tavan Bike Rodeo

Arcadia Osborn Neighborhood Association and Tavan PTO invite you to join us at Tavan Elementary School on Saturday November 16th 9am - 11am for a Bike Rodeo, a cycling safety event designed to empower young cyclists.

The Phoenix Police Department will go over proper care and safe use of a bicycle.  After a helmet check and a lecture about the rules of the road, participants will get to ride on a miniature "chalk street" course set up in a parking lot where the young cyclists can practice what they’ve learned.

During the event, adults and children alike will be able to register their bicycles with Phoenix PD. The Bicycle Registration Program is designed to assist officers with returning recovered stolen bicycles to their rightful owners.

We will also be collecting unwanted/outgrown children’s bicycle donations for Bob’s Bikes, a local charitable organization that works with title I schools to provide refurbished bicycles and free bicycle repairs to underprivileged youth.

The Bike Rodeo is open to Tavan families and the surrounding community.
